Introduction to Knitting class 1 of 2 (Registration required)

These sessions are suitable for anyone who has an interest in knitting.

You will learn the basics of how to begin and complete a simple scarf.

Instruction outline:

• Definition of knitting
• Different types of knitting needles
• Abbreviations and terms
• Four (4) basic steps to complete a scarf –

                Long tail cast on

                Knit stitch

                Standard bind-off

                Weave in ends

• How to read a simple pattern
• Examples
• Resources

Needles and yarn will be provided.

These sessions are designed for ages 13 to adult and class size is limited to six (6). Sessions are made of 2 classes: Monday, April 4 and Thursday, April 7 .
